Toward the end of my grandfather’s life, he used to say “if it’s worth anything, it will stick”.  He was generally referring to his increased “forgetfulness”. 

Although I don’t have the same “forgetfulness” as Gramps, his wise words have stuck with me. 
Today, on this Monday morning, Marylen’s “Time for Sharing” is still with me.  Maybe it’s because I was sitting right there with her so her message was clear.  Or maybe not.  Maybe it’s because it’s exactly what I (we) needed to hear.  God is with us—just as God was with each person in each book of the Bible.

And you know what?  God was there!

In Genesis, in Esther, in Daniel, in Exodus, in Ruth.  God was there!  With Ruth, with Jonathan, with Noah, and even with Abraham and Isaac.  God was there!

And you know what?  God is with you.  Today.  Tomorrow.  And always.  On the good days.  On the bad days.  On the scary days.  On the difficult days.  On the days of celebration. 
God WAS there!  God IS there!  God WILL BE there!

Amen, Amen and Amen.
