Give Online
Make an online contribution to First United Church. Both direct bank account withdrawals and credit/debit card transactions are accepted. You can make a one-time payment or set up recurring payments. These transactions are processed by Vanco Services for First United.
Giving as a Sacred Act – Stewardship Results for 2010
Even in the midst of a recession, First United members rose to the occasion by joining together to pledge the dollars necessary to provide staff salary increases, greater funding to Faith in Action for mission work, increased monies to cover building expenses, and the list goes on.
As of December 31, 2009, the 2010 pledges totaled $674,938. The amount includes:
- 46 new pledges, equaling $37,225
- 108 pledges increased from last year, for a total of $366,334
- 85 continued pledges with no change from last year, totaling $199,029
- 36 pledges were decreased, equaling $72,350
It is also important to note that only 36 pledges from 2009 were not renewed for 2010. Considering the economic environment, this is truly astounding. We ended 2009 with a surplus.
Year-after-year the congregation continues to practice exuberant generosity to provide the funds necessary to support the work and vision of First United.
