Planned Giving Opportunities

What is planned giving? Planned giving is a way to make a special gift to help ensure the financial future of First United Church. Gifts can be made during your lifetime or after your death. These gifts allow us to fund our ministry and mission above and beyond annual campaign pledges.

Why is planned giving important? To be faithful to ourselves and future generations, we have an obligation to preserve and increase our endowment funds.

How can I make such a gift? Here are some examples of how you can make such a gift.

Will: You can include in your will a bequest to First United Church.
Life insurance, IRA, or trust: You can make First United Church a beneficiary.
Life Income Annuity Gift: You can purchase an annuity that pays you income during your life and passes the principal to First United Church upon your death.
Designate a memorial contribution: You can make a gift to the First United Church endowment fund.
