First United Church has fellowship groups for all ages.
Youth groups for junior and senior highs meet on Sunday nights for dinner, service projects, discussion, and fun. Fellowship groups for adults range from a group that shares a meal while watching a film in the church lounge to a group specifically for friends and families of LGBTQ folks to a group for those 60 and over.
First United has a new Fellowship Team to do just what its name says — promote fellowship throughout the church. It will coordinate and support existing programs that bring together church members of various age groups and with diverse interests, plan intergenerational fellowship opportunities for all church members, and serve as hosts for receptions after memorial services, as well as develop a budget for fellowship events. Co-chairs of the Fellowship Team are Janet Haisman and Priscilla Sibley. NOTE: Some of these groups are holding activities over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to restart many of these fellowship activities when the pandemic is over.
